I have been doing home health care for over 20 yrs now. I love my job and what I do. If I can make someone's life easier then I know I have done my job. I Love people And not just anyone can do this kind of work. You have to have a passion for people, and that's what I have. Every client I have had love my work. I'm good at what I do because I love what I do.

I'm very outgoing and easy to get along with and listen very well and observe thing's as well. I love helping the elderly and love to hear there stories and I feel rewarded when helping them with there daily routines or anything they need help with. I'm very proud of getting certified to work with the elderly and learn everything I know to take care of them with there need's, I know how to take blood pressure's, do cpr, check blood sugar, can give insulin if needed, know how to give showers, and do medicine reminder.

I am easy going and relaxed. I enjoy and am very passionate about helping other in need. Being punctual and respectful are very important to me in providing the best care I can give. I treat everyone as if they were my family

I was born in Lansing MI, and at two I moved to Grand Rapids, I went to Eastern Elementary School and then to Creston High School. I took up Machine Shop and Architectural Drawing. I was the oldest of 12 children. After high school I took a Tool & Die Apprenticeship. I also worked as a volunteer for the fire department. I built a house in Sparta Township where I live with my wife. I retired from Tool Die 2010 because of cancer. Then I started volunteering at Rest Haven Homes which ended up in a paid position. I enjoy making some one happy and to do the things they enjoy and also to be a companion and a friend. I do transportation to doctor appointments, dentist appointments, shopping, movies, out to eat, visit a friend, errands, or travel, I also do in home care with dressing assistance, mobility, exercise, meal planning, and preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, etc. I have completed classes on Hospice Care, Dementia, and worked at Rest Haven Homes for 12 years, and 3 1/2 years with Leaves Personal Care.

Love feeling needed. Also love giving the patient the best, day possible. Love to watch old movies, bring old postcards, or cook be dishes their mother made in the past. Miss my own grandparents terribly. Caregiving fills that void for me. Love, it when my patients relive the past, and feel young again! Proud of taking care of people and helping them regain joy, in their last days.

I love working with people! I have worked in Mexico and Utah with all ages of people but I truly enjoy working with the older generation the most and I believe I am good at making people feel comfortable. I live to encourage people and help them feel important and needed to the end!! All generations need to be together and there is so much we can learn from our elders. I am a Christian but I believe everyone has the right to believe what they choose. I would love to meet you and be of whatever help I can be to you and your family. I have traveled, lived abroad, raised a family, worked as a secretary and as a care giver. I hope our paths cross!

I have cleaned residential homes and cottages since 2004. I am a detailed cleaner and give 100% in what I do. I love kids and fury pets but prefer non-smokers (inside home that is) and can be flexible as to what each family's needs may be in their home. I am also a state certified CNA with my MA, PCA certificates and up-to-date BLS I have worked the ER, Med/Surg and ICU along with private duty, Dementia and Alzheimer's at a assisted living. I'm an experienced caregiver currently searching for the next assignment. I have experience working with elderly people including those with dementia. I worked in California (San Francisco, Palo Alto, Red Wood city) . I have been recognized for my ability to relate and to find a good contact with my clients. I learn about their interests and hobbies and support them. I like to listen to their life stories and make them feel appreciated. One man from my previous work (he was 86, Alzheimer) and he spoke three languages. He has many books and we spend a lot of time in his library. Another, my client, was a teacher and I wrote on a computer the stories of her life. The third man has an advanced form of dementia and I took care of his basic needs. I cherish those experiences and each of them makes me a better caregiver. I wanted to let you know that I like what I do.

I love spending time with elders. One thing that I have done previously is listen to the stories told and type them for the family to have. Memories like these are precious and deserve to be preserved. I enjoy being there for assistance with meal preparations, hobbies, and keeping company. I'm in the early stages of learning sign language and can speak minimal Spanish. I have experience with people suffering from Alzheimer's, Diabetes, hearing disabilities, strokes, and other age related deceases and disorders.
