I have nearly a decade in healthcare experience. I have worked in short term care (post surgery), critical care and long term care. I am patience and understanding. When I care for someone I make sure to put their needs first. I am positive and uplifting and won't bring negativity into their environment. Helping people is what attracted me to become a caregiver. What I enjoy most about becoming a caregiver is seeing people become healthy again. My personal achievement is controlling my personal blood sugar by making better life choices. My fee is also negotiable.
I'm a great caregiver, because of my compassion for people, especially senior care, developmentally disabled, those who can't speak for themselves, both verbally or non-verbally, being a voice. I've always been attracted to caregiving from a young child. Since caring for both parents, and family members. I enjoy being a part of helping others have a quality of life, through love, care and spiritual enlightenment that they otherwise may not have access to. It is a blessing to help others have an extended quality of life, that may not have otherwise been realized.

Like a lot of people who are caregivers I started out taking care of a loved one, who was suffering from Lupus and Heart Disease. She was a retired nurse who was full of knowledge and more than happy to pass it on to me during the ten years I took care of her. I found that not only was I a very good caregiver but that I actually enjoyed it and found it very fulfilling! I think one of the most important things I learned while caring for seniors is that even though they may need help with many different things, some of which are very personal, they are still an adult not a child. I've found people appreciate that, I know I would if the situation was reversed. My second ten years in this business have been helping wonderful people who have found themselves in need of quality care. Their conditions have included Diabetes, Parkinson, Strokes, Dementia and Alzheimer's and other ailments. Some have just needed a little help and companionship. I was very happy that I could be there for them and make a difference in their day with whatever level of care they needed, and to help the family feel confident that their loved one had someone competent and caring to depend on. I have many hand written references that I have received over the years that I can share with you in person.

I have been caring for a very close friend for years and find it fufilling and a special bond. I am not afraid to roll up my sleeves and get something done. Not only making them feel save but making sure they feel cared for respecting and able to still feel their dignity and independence. What attracted me to become a caregiver is helping my ill father and grandmother. From having to feed bath change transfers range of motion companionship and making sure they never give up, and also working in an environment where people needed all kinds of help, Nursing homes, hospitals independent and assist livings or even just everyday living. I enjoy the one on one connection and conversation. And making my client feel welcome and understood. I experienced a lot being a caregiving and the friendships I build with clients and families is absolutely wonderful I'm really a peoples person. I'm all smiles and all care My most wonderful personal accomplishments was being able to give private duty services to a lot of people I never met all from family and client recommendations because they absolutely loved my work
I believe what makes me a great caregiver is my ability to empathize with others. Everyone always tells me that I have a very big heart and it's true, I care about other people and I want to help them while making them happy. I am a very outgoing person and love to talk and listen to other people. I was first interested in being a caregiver when I was in the hospital for a double jaw surgery. During this time, I could not open my mouth for 8 weeks and I depended on other people to care for me as I could not. I feel this experience helps me become a better caregiver because I know how it feels to be on the opposite side of the caring. I like for my patients to feel as independent as possible because I didn't like the feeling of being helpless and not being able to do things on my own. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is all the people I meet and being able to share different life experiences and relate to others. I love being able to make connections with people and be able to make someone's day. Personally, I am proud to have just became a level 2 caregiver and all the new tasks I have learned. More about me is that I love art, I paint and draw and create projects all the time. Pinterest is my favorite place to generate new ideas and things to do with my patients. I love dogs, I have a one year old puppy at home. I also love to travel and experience new places all the time and taste new food which is why I also love to cook and bake new recipes all the time. Currently. I am attending Eastern Michigan University and plan to graduate as a Recreational Therapist next Summer 2019.
