Hello I am Tanisha Knight, Before I started working in this field of health care. I took great passion and love to care for my mother who was terminally ill 23 years ago. After that I knew I was meant to do this line of work. Giving a person hope after loosing all hope is the beauty in why I love working in the health care field.

Giving people in need a genuine care and support is something I am incredibly enthusiastic about. The opportunity to significantly impact the lives of people i would be assigned is what appeals to me the most about this work.

What makes me a great caregiver is making sure my client is happy at all times. I became a caregiver because I like helping people. I know this sounds lame, but I always knew I wanted to be a nurse. I love the rewarding feeling I get from giving. Now, when I was a kid that was another story. I carried all of my toys in a brown grocery bag and you would have to fight me to get me to share! I love listening and learning from others. I feel that this has only improved my caregiving skills. I have worked with all ages, races, religions, disabilities and I treat each person the same. We all deserve dignity and respect regardless of our situation. I'm kind, but love to laugh and have a good time. Most importantly I know how to act appropriate for the situation. I believe an achievement that I can truly be proud of everyday is that I have the ability to take life as it comes and always put things into perspective. I hold my family close to my heart. I can provide a reciprocal relationship of professional care and companionship.

I've been a caregiver for over a year now. I first got into it because I like being able to help those who have difficulty helping themselves with day to day activities. I enjoy being a caregiver because it gives me a sense of purpose to be able to provide help to those who need it.

I just love helping people becuase it reminds me of times when my grandparents where living. The older generation gives the best advice! I love learning from them!

I have a positive attitude and love to learn and help others that are in need. Have been in this field over 10 years, and love what I do. What attracted me to be in this field was not having my parents in my life and wanting to help others that don't have anyone to help them. What I enjoy about being a caregiver is that I can spread love and kindness in this job. The one major thing I am very proud of is being able to raise 6 kids by myself and making it. I love my family.
