I took care of both of my parents. I love being around their wisdom. They think i'm funny and fun to be with. I would rather be around older people. Aways have since I was little. Guess it started in childhood since that's what we had living around us in our neighborhood.! And feel very blessed that its a calling too. I love talking and most of all listening to my clients. I'm very patient and dependable with a Big Heart.!

Growing up I have always been very interested in helping people for their daily living. I am kind, gentle, and very compassionate person. What enjoy most about being a caregiver is to be able help people in their sickness and you see how their health improves. What drives me to be a care giver is not only because its a job its a okace were i feel like i belong taking care of others who needs some one who ubderstand their time of needs and when its apporerate. I am a mother of four children and a Veteran of the US military. My Army experience as a field medic gave me knowledge of basic and Advanced patient care. I was stationed with a 200 bed EVAC hospital similar to MASH. I also worked as an Orthopedic assistant for several years and worked as a medical assistant and phlebotomist for a family practice for 3 years. I started in the home health field because my kids are about grown and as we all age I know the need is big to find above average care givers. Hello! My name is Lori. I am a mother of 4 (almost grown) children, and a daughter of one elderly parent. I have been a Physical Therapist Asst. for 29 years. My mother suddenly passed in 2017. My father has severe dementia, and in her absence, there existed a need for someone to care for him. I fulfilled this role for some time, until the inevitable, appropriate time came for me to return to my family and life back here in Missouri. I personally experienced the process of seeking a suitable caregiver for my father, to help maintain the lifestyle that he had always known. I didn't think that it should be difficult to find this person (people). But, it was, especially in a small rural KS town, considering the financial resources available. I discovered a passion for in-home caregiving. I have been blessed to be able to continue caregiving since that time, and have worked with several wonderful families. I am reliable, competent and compassionate. It is my desire to continue caring for those in need.
