My heart is helping people feel better. Currently working at home instead but looking for one or two clients in my area Taylorsville. back ground check is available upon request
Skills & Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
My two passions in life have always been children and the elderly. After teaching, I've always wanted to spend more time with the elderly & being a caregiver/ companion affords me this opportunity . I have a CPR/ Basic First Aid certificate. I was a CNA in a Nursing Home for 8 yrs, before my teaching career even started. I've been working as a caregiver/companion for the past 4 years. I have a very outgoing personality. I am caring, dependable, flexible, and compassionate. The main reason that I really enjoy doing this job is because it allows the elderly to stay at home and be in their own environment. I feel that this makes a more positive impact on their whole being, be it physical, emotional, spiritual, and/ or psychological. I want to try and make their last days as happy as I can for them.
Skills & Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Being a massage therapist has exposed me to many opportunities to not only physically assist clients towards general wellbeing but also develop a bond with each individual based on their needs. I have experience with geriatric massage as well as working in an hospice setting. Assisting clients with self care and improving their quality of life no matter what their condition is has become a passion of mine aside from handcrafting natural products such as teas, herbal honey and detox baths. I've gained experience through my work as a massage therapist as well as assisting my own family in which my father has arthritis and stage 4 prostate cancer and my mother who suffered a stroke and has a bone fusing condition. I aim to create overall wellness for the mind, body and spirit through healthy eating, exercise, time out in the sun and mindful meditation.
I'm a great Mom....I cared for my mother though her dementia. I began working full time with Alzheimer's and Dementia soon after that. The best sound I hear and actively seek is laughter with joy! I'd would be happy to go back to childcare. I've 9 years of private infant care to 3 year and beyond. Those kids are graduating high school. The best education I'll ever receive is having a little brother that's mentally challenged. He keeps me so positive! I admit I'm a tad jealous of his peace with his world, nothing phases him for long....We have a saying, 'this too shall pass'. Our precious Mom taught us well!

Skills & Certifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
I have been a caregiver for over ten years. I absolutely love taking care of people and I believe that if they could most people would choose to stay in their homes and have care but sometimes it's not that easy to do medical problems or other things come into play. I'm 40 yes old and far as I can remember I have taken care of someone so this comes natural to me, I would and am very proud to say that my biggest accomplishment is me receiving my GED in 2012. I didn't get the chance to graduate high school due to family issues but I did go back and get my education.

I started off returning to college for my CNA certification because my grandfather was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease. Around the same time my stepfather had a stroke so I was determined to be able to take care of them. Since completing my CNA certification course I have worked in facilities as well as doing home health care. I enjoy my job most because I am able to help others with daily living activities and I am able to bring joy to their lives. I am very easy to get along with. I like to think of myself as kind and I put my heart into my job. I have four years of medical school as well as my CNA certification. I just finished college for my medical assistant associates degree.
It all started when my grandmother had a stroke, I assisted with her care until she passed. I was a young mother and learned how to take care of others very well. I've always been the kind of person to care about the other person before caring for my own needs. Right now I'm a mother of 2 with one on the way. I work for home instead senior care but always ready for advancement. I dont have a problem with assisting in whatever needs to be done to make the client more comfortable in their own home.
