I have been a certified EMT since 2004 and have gained extensive experience working at Northwell Health, where I served for 12 years. Currently, I am enrolled in nursing school, furthering my education to expand my skills and enhance my contributions to patient care. I do have a car available, I am unable to transport a patient in my vehicle. This is due to the fact that the insurance policy covering the car is not in my name, and therefore, I do not have the appropriate coverage to ensure the safety and liability required for such transportation. $30.00 per hour

I became interested in the healthcare field while serving as a missionary in Guatemala where I worked with poor people living in the mountains, garbage dumps, and street children hooked on glue. Many times after serving I would come home crying because of the plight of the people I served but I love reaching out to help others and served for four years. Here in New York City at one time I also worked with homeless people living in shelters and in the parks. I have worked in nursing homes in Florida and in homecare in New York City. I love being a caregiver, impacting humanity in a positive way as I help to improve and maintain health. I became a caregiver to provide warmth and comfort the the elderly and disabled. I like making the client feel secure and know that they can trust me. I give 110% to everything I do. When they see a familiar face everyday it makes them feel good and their willingness becomes better as the days go by. Their faces light up and they talk to you about anything that's on their mind.
