I have been a Home Health Worker over twenty years. I am a Mental Health Technician and have experience with Dementia, Depression, Anxiety etc... I am reliable, patient, gentle, hardworking and have a good sense of humour. I have always enjoyed working with seniors . I love the movies, music and fashion of the thirties and forties. Besides the technical skill set and experience of being in Home Health; over the years I have learned to perfectly set hair, give a great shave, manicure, play a fierce game of scrabble and make a real cuppa tea [not a bag] A personal achievement I am proud of is participating in Aids Walk New York ten years in a row. Hi, I am an army veteran and have 3 years of experience in adult and senior care. I put myself in everyone' shoes that I'm caring for, it allows me to have a sense of how I would love to be treated in that moment and I render that care. My goal is to serve by being reliable, dependable, compassionate and always attentive to all details regarding care. I have worked with elders with Alzheimer's, dementia, Parkinson's, stroke, diabetic and seizures. I am also familiar with application of a colostomy bag, catheters, and irrigation. I can help with meals, meditation, and light work around the house.
I believe I am a kind, gentle, patient and compassionate caregiver. I've been taking care of my mother since I was four years old until she passed away in August of 2018. I am now taking care of my father who is suffering from Parkinson's Disease. I hope to become a nurse in the future but for now I would love to do what I am truly gifted at and that is taking care of others in need. I know that being a caretaker comes naturally to me. It brings me such joy being able to give others my assistance and comfort. I am proud of the time, love, support and dedication I gave to my mother. She was battling so many diseases and infections and it brought me inner peace knowing I was able to comfort her during those difficult times so she could relax and let her body heal. I can't think of anything else I would want to do with my life than to comfort and aid those who are in need of care.
My name is Ashley ! I am 28 years old and I have been a caregiver for about 10 years. I think I'm a great caregiver from taking care of numerous people from children to seniors with Alzheimer's and dementia autistic children and even little babies. I take a caregiver position very serious due to a lot of caregivers not doing their jobs correctly. I think it takes someone with a big heart to take care of someone else's family member ; child etc. I gave my all when it comes to being a caregiver I make sure I do my job and when I leave the person I am caring for your child is happy and healthy!
