I have been a caregiver over 20 years (long term, rehab, old timers unit patients, and etc). I care about the elderly and people that need help and cannot help themselves. Having parents that died in their 60's from cancer it was nice having the experience to be able to take care of them from their homes. Have done homecare over 5 years and really enjoyed working with the family's.
I am a loyal individual and I treat each elder as I would desire to be treated. In the past I have taught multiple individuals identified with special needs. Teaching in this field has taught me to be comfortable and accepting of people in a diverse world. I am most competent in my abilities to care for Elders with varying challenges. I am also creative in the ways I assist Elders, so that they enjoy doing activities that they might otherwise choose not to do. I like to converse with the people I am with, to engage them in activities that challenge their minds and bodies while having fun.

Taking care of others has always been a passion of mine, from family to friends. Becoming a nurse 14 years ago, gave me the fuel to be able to bring quality care, companionship, and helping patients become great advocate for their health any many ways. I dedicated myself to private duty several years ago, after my clients passed on, I thought I wanted to be back in the field again. I miss it, I want to be able to know that my one on one care is not being taken for granted and that the ones that I care for know that their concerns, mental, emotional, and physical status is priority, along with giving their family a sense of knowing that they made the right decision allowing me to care for their loved one.
I am a happily married 37 years old mother of 5 and I have been a certified nurse assistant for 17 years. I have worked in a number of settings throughout the years such as long term care, home health care, MRDD and more. I became a caregiver because I love to help people and I have a passion for the elderly and disabled. What makes me a great caregiver is that I'm very patient, understanding, caring and trustworthy and i will do my job to the best of my ability!
I am a compassionate STNA of 19 years, dedicated to assuring safety for your loved one. I am an Independent Provider through Hamilton County DODD, and Dept of Job and Family Services. I also have a BLS certificate and Medication Administration. In my 19 years of caregiving, I was honored to care for my grandmother and great grandmother in a home based setting. I take pride in the care I give, and can assure that each client will receive the care needed patiently and compassionately.
Rather in a facility or in home, you have to have patience. Patience and kindness is my strong suit which allows me to be able to connect with my client on a better level. I've learned to take my time with my clients and allow them to lead as I follow with some guidance. Helping others is my passion and always have been. Nursing and being a caregiver give me that sense of amazement because I have helped someone make it through another day. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is being able to do what I love.
I'm a compassionate caregiver, friendly, reliable, flexible, patient, and trustworthy, with high sensativity and empathy for others. I love providing help to those who need it, or can't no longer provide for them self, but that's just my giving nature, and my nurturing desire to help those in need, and provide safety and emotional needs to my clients. Something I like about being a caregiver is that I take pride in what I do. I enjoy working and providing care on one on one with someone and developing a relationship with my client, by conversing, and participating in my clients daily activities. I just love making a different in someone's life. I feel proud of myself when my clients say "I'm the best caregiver they ever had."
