I am Currently in the Ohio Army National Guard, I like to workout, highly motivated and I am punctual. I have been a caregiver over 20 years (long term, rehab, old timers unit patients, and etc). I care about the elderly and people that need help and cannot help themselves. Having parents that died in their 60's from cancer it was nice having the experience to be able to take care of them from their homes. I pay close attention to people's needs, both physically and emotionally, and I believe kindness and understanding are very important when caring for others. I also stay calm under pressure and make sure the person I'm caring for feels safe, respected, and comfortable. * What attracted you to being a caregiver? I was attracted to caregiving because I enjoy helping people and making a difference in someone's everyday life. Being able to support someone, especially during times when they need extra care, feels meaningful and rewarding to me. * What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? What I enjoy most is building trust and connection with the people I care for. What makes me a great caregiver, is that im so open harted. I love to sit and listen to story or be out doing things. Iv been a caregiver for 8 years. I worked in Hospital, nursing homes. Id have to say home care is my favorite. Home care is slow pace. I get to enjoy my job and clients. I love being hands on or just talking.
