What attracted me to being a caregiver was when my mother wasn't able to care for herself, (which ironically gives me most of the expertise I have in caregiving). My mother had a motorcycle accident in 2012 which inabled her from most daily activity. On top of that she developed many medical ailments (cataracts, diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, incontinence, etc.). I cared for her until her passing in February of 2020. I enjoy the personal familiarity of caring for someone in their home environment. Being able to get to know them and their family on a personal level. Although it can be heartbreaking at times, it also brings a warmth and special bond and I believe that ecah bond is a personal achievement and those are all things that I am proud of.

Caregiving is a gift. I love serving and be able to help anyone that needs assistance mentally,physically, emotionally and spiritually.

My personal reason is, I helped my dad with my mom. She was on hospice for approximately size months or more. Then, after mom passed I helped take care of dad, he passed the following year. I worked in the Sheriff's office for 23 years assisting The nurses I love people and I love taking care of their needs, such as light house keeping, companionship so their not lonely. Every one needs loved and sometimes the elderly are forgotten about. I am working now but I'm driving almost an hour away which is taking time away from my grandchildren that I adopted. Just last week I worked 90 hours., and the week before I put in 65 hours. As you see I'm not afraid of work.

I am currently a caregiver, having the job doesn't change how I feel about taking care of people. What I do, I do out of love and the kindess of my heart. I started out just doing private care for family members, now that I have been working for this company I now know even more how to care for peoples needs. I have patience, I have no choice because at home I'm a single mom of 5 children. I just love taking care of people in general. I go above and beyond for my clients. I am a very compassionate person and love my job. Taking care of people is my profession and what I'm destined to do.

I have been a nurse for over 25 yrs and absolutely love being a caregiver. I have experience with patients from all age ranges and have managed many different medical conditions in various healthcare settings. My most enjoyment and satisfaction of being a caregiver comes from being able to spend time with my patients not only to just administer a medication, or perform a treatment, but to truly get to know my patient as a whole person. If there is something I can do to improve my patient's quality of life, or make things a bit easier for them, or bring a smile to their face, then that is what I want to do.
