What makes me great, is the love, compassion, my loyalty to my clients and family. Everyone has a calling, a purpose in life. And for me is helping, giving and sharing with others. My biggest achievement is watching someone get their confident back and feeling that they are not in it by them selves. Sharing their smiles, laughter and even tears. Just to know they know someone really care.
Personally I believe what makes me a great care giver is my caring and kind personality. I've dealt with many different cases and what I enjoy most either than caring for someone is making them a part of my family. I take pride and joy in being a caregiver because I never got a chance to have my own grandparents and in each case it's nice to get a chance to share each different experience with a client that either needs love, companionship, comfort or even a little help. My greatest achievement is honestly being able to still be caring, pateint and loving and treating each case personally.

I've worked as a nurse assistant over 16 yrs caring for disabled, elderly, ill, and mentally challenged clients. I have worked in nursing home, hospital, home care, senior facility, respite care, private duty, direct care service, and hospice care, and trained in massage. I like to challenge myself as a caregiver with promoting new work skills. My time is giving care to others, that cannot do for themselves. My achievement is to see my three children succeed in the life that values them. For myself, to be recognized for my work performance, that's giving to each individual that has been cared for, show appreciation. I had several resident tell me that I'm wonderful, and I had a tearful moment. It's a blessing to hear positive thinking from a client. I am a great caregiver because I want my clients to know that I am there for them in any way I can help. I became a caregiver because it is a positive and rewarding job. I like being a caregiver because that means I am working as a health care professional doing what I love. I think it has been a personal achievement using my Associate of Science degree working as a caregiver, and I am proud of that. I really feel like I get to know the patients that I work for, and try to be creative when working on the job. I might try to play the guitar for a patient, read current events in the newspaper to a patient, or do the crossword puzzle. I am happy going for walks, like to watch movies, and enjoy reading magazines.
