What attracted you to being a caregiver? I wanted to become a care giver because I love helping the elderly and i feel people don't do much for the elderly like they should or treat them the way they are suppose to be treated. plus love helping people if I can. Hello I'm Taylor Lira and I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for almost 5 years. I really enjoy being able to care for others when they are in time of need. It's my passion to walk into a home, facility, or a building and know you are there to help someone that is no longer able to care for themselves. It's a great feeling knowing they have someone that cares for them just as if there were your own family. It's the 5 years I have worked as a caregiver my proudest achievement has been gaining more than just a patient with the homes I have gone into. I have grown to love each patient as if they were my grandmother/grandfather.

I have been a certified nurse aide for 14 years now, and 13 of those years have been with the elderly. I have through out my career worked in restorative therapy for 2 years, I have worked with MHMR clients and with special needs people, but the elderly have always been my preference. My personal moto and belief is "do unto others as you want done unto you", I take that belief very seriously. I believe one day I will be in a position where I will need help and I hope I have someone like me to take care of me. I try to be empathetic and compassionate with a careful touch.
