I worked for the IRS for 16 years in customer service. I took great pride in the fact that no matter how angry or abusive taxpayers could be I never took it personally and by the end of a call I had calmed them down and took care of their issues until they were satisfied and sometines actually grateful. I raised three children by myself and a niece as well. They all turned out to be honorable, self relient and good parents and citizens. I have always tried to be true to myself and always do what is right. When I was 16 yrs. old I worked in a tiny hospital in Joplin Mo. I helped in the emergency room, labor and delivery and on the wards. I was a 'nurses aide' and we did functions that are know done only by professionals, such as positive pressure, inserting catheters and sonar treatments. I'm just grateful I never hurt anyone!!!

I've been a caregiver for more than 30 years. I care about people and I feel like God has given me a gift. I love to talk so I pretty much can get a patient to try must things that a family member can't get them to to to. I love to read and interact with them if it's just a game cards.

When working I treat my clients with love make them feel like if I was one of there family members. Treat with respect being a caregiver makes me happy I love seeing them smile just to treat them how I would want some body to treat my love ones. making them smile

After caring for my fiance's bed bound Uncle for 2 years back in 2013, I found myself going to night school to get into the Medical Field, so I could do more for patients like him. The entire time I was putting myself through night school, I took care of a few other disabled elderly neighbors. While working at NCMC hospital, and then a Gastroenterologist office, I did not feel I was where God wanted me. After speaking with the doctor I was working for and his wife, they pointed me in a direction to help hospice clients. I finally felt I was where God wanted me. In December of 2019, after my sister passed away from cancer, my Mom called and asked me to come home. She said she needed me to help her during her surgeries. I didn't hesitate. I sold my house and moved up here to Fayetteville to help my brother with my Mom. 6 months later she passed and I found myself right back in Home Health Care. I have always gone where I was needed and wanted. The appreciation the clients show me, just from the way their eyes smile at me, that pulls me right back to where I feel I belong. My apologies for not being available on the weekends. I was blessed with becoming a grandmother, shortly after my mom passed, so my weekends are pretty much taken up by my precious Grandson. Monday - Friday, if I am open, I would love to step in and help. Remember, no matter where you are in this walk of life, God has a plan for each and everyone of us. Hello My name is Sylvia Brown, I'm 55 years old I'm blessed with 2 grown children and 4 beautiful grandbabies. I resided in Giddings, Tx originally from Austin, Tx. I became a Home Health Caregiver in 2001 in Austin, Tx and in Kingsland, Tx. What inspired me to the career of a caregiver was the loss of a love one that I took care of tell his last days. I mostly enjoyed the one on one in caregiving I beleave you have to have it in your heart to care for the ones that no longer or have a hard time doing for there selfs. In 2005 I got my Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) I have worked in Nursing Homes long term and Alzhteimer's Unit. That was a more fast pace environment but I did enjoy. In 2017 I had to stop working due to taking care of Grandsons, during that time my CNA expired. I had been helping take care of my 91 year old Father that had Alzhteimer's up to July 2021 a blessing that I will live with the rest of my life. I just can't seem to let go of taking care of those that need care so I'm looking to take care of your loveones . I feel I have been blessed and skilled for 22 years of careing for the ones that need it, I got a loving and honest personality and hard worker. My achievements in my career are Loving others and having a great relationship with my clients and there family. I have been employee of the month and for my hard work have gotten bonus check. Yes we all have to work to survive but at the same time you have to enjoy and have the love in your heart to do the best for the one your taking care of as if they were your own family. (Hourly rate is negotiable base on miles, hours and weekends also over night care. We can discuss and figure out what is reasonable.) First and foremost you must understand this is just not any job. This is someone's family member. I very much enjoy working with older people they still have much to offer the younger generation. My first visit was with an neighbour. She would let me take out her trash weekly from then on it progressed. Since then I have been in and out the field for 20 years. Became a Medical Assistant was not the same no one on one personal care so I did not stay in the field. Giving the best part of me to my clients.

I am an outgoing mom that loves to cook. I have spent most of my life caring for others, my mom cared for my grandparents and I loved to go help and started staying and caring for them at the age of 13. I would help with light household duty's and cooking as they could not stand long to do it. I started helping care for my brother at 14 when he broke his neck in a car accident and became an incomplete quad. I got certified as a nurses aide when I was 17 and started working in nursing homes and caring for in home patients. I love to talk and learn from their experiences and get to know all kind of different people. I stepped back from the workforce when my first daughter was born and miss it dearly and am ready to return to helping others in need.

What makes me a great caregiver is I do the most important thing, I CARE. Always have always will, ever since I was a child this is what I've wanted to do, I've got such a caring outgoing personality that it's just what I love. I also do photography on the side as a hobby, blessing people and helping in every way possible is my goal.
