I have 13 years of experience working with the elderly. Currently working at the same facility for 13 years . Being a caregiver is rewarding and fulfilling at the same time. I love my Residents , they are like my grandparents.

I am a 45year old female. Got married young . Have 2 daughters 1 step daughter. I am not married . All children are young women and live on there own . I am engaged to a driller with Robertson drilling. I have done home health my whole life. I was with nurses unlimited for 10 years . Worked for mosaic for 6 months to take care of my niece that has a crippling condition. Where I earned my state medicine certificate. Then I went to work for comfort keepers for 3 years. From there I went to private pay with a family for there wonderful mother Kathy Probandt. Worked private for family for 7 years . She went into nursing home in Bronte Tx May of 2021 . In August of 2021 I was in a motorcycle wreck and it messed up my left foot . 3 surgeries and 11 months no pressure on it drove me crazy . But I have been medically released since June 9 2022 . Since then I have worked a few jobs . I want to go back to health care and take care of people. That is what I do best and happy at . I am reliable, learn very easy , have a heart to take care of people and there belongings. I will make your company very proud.

I'm a very positive thinker I'm easily to get along with I love people and I love to see people happy. I always knew I wanted to help people and as I grew older this is the type of work I always wanted to do, is to take care of people, I have a big heart and I'm very compassionate towards everybody and anybody.. What I enjoy most of caregiving is I love to see people happy and comfortable in their home environment.

My name is Valerie, ever since I was a young girl i have had the desire to help people, it didnt matter who you were i just knew I could take the long shot and put a smile on someone face . I love building the companionship and meeting new people, what attracted me to being a caregiver is that my mother suffers from a mental disability and I have cared for her since I was 18yrs old..also my grandfather was a paraplegic and needed assistance with lots of things and I grew up helping take care of him...being in this field has tought me so much and I wouldn't change it for the world. caregiver

The thing that attracted me most to caregiving is basically it's in the name caring. I had a rough childhood and pretty much all the way up until my late teens so I know what it feels like to not have someone there to care for you and that's why it brings me great comfort and joy knowing that my presence in someone's life is gonna make a difference and not only that it's going to benefit their well-being

I have worked as a caregiver in total of 3yrs. My personal goal is to know that I have made in difference in the individual's life that I am placed to work with. I love talking to people , I love being witty , empathetic, charismatic, and joyous. My personal achievement is to know that I have added substance to a persons live. I am a Pentecostal Christian so it is apart of my lifestyle. I love to be able to share the light God has granted me with.

I am very caring and compassionate person. I love listening to the elderly tell stories from their youth. I was drawn to this line of work because I was raised by my grandparents and want to give back to my community. I feel like our elderly population get forgotten and set aside and I want to be there to care for them and hopefully to age at home.
