I worked for the IRS for 16 years in customer service. I took great pride in the fact that no matter how angry or abusive taxpayers could be I never took it personally and by the end of a call I had calmed them down and took care of their issues until they were satisfied and sometines actually grateful. I raised three children by myself and a niece as well. They all turned out to be honorable, self relient and good parents and citizens. I have always tried to be true to myself and always do what is right. When I was 16 yrs. old I worked in a tiny hospital in Joplin Mo. I helped in the emergency room, labor and delivery and on the wards. I was a 'nurses aide' and we did functions that are know done only by professionals, such as positive pressure, inserting catheters and sonar treatments. I'm just grateful I never hurt anyone!!!

I've been a caregiver for more than 30 years. I care about people and I feel like God has given me a gift. I love to talk so I pretty much can get a patient to try must things that a family member can't get them to to to. I love to read and interact with them if it's just a game cards.

When working I treat my clients with love make them feel like if I was one of there family members. Treat with respect being a caregiver makes me happy I love seeing them smile just to treat them how I would want some body to treat my love ones. making them smile

Hello My name is Sylvia Brown, I'm 55 years old I'm blessed with 2 grown children and 4 beautiful grandbabies. I resided in Giddings, Tx originally from Austin, Tx. I became a Home Health Caregiver in 2001 in Austin, Tx and in Kingsland, Tx. What inspired me to the career of a caregiver was the loss of a love one that I took care of tell his last days. I mostly enjoyed the one on one in caregiving I beleave you have to have it in your heart to care for the ones that no longer or have a hard time doing for there selfs. In 2005 I got my Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) I have worked in Nursing Homes long term and Alzhteimer's Unit. That was a more fast pace environment but I did enjoy. In 2017 I had to stop working due to taking care of Grandsons, during that time my CNA expired. I had been helping take care of my 91 year old Father that had Alzhteimer's up to July 2021 a blessing that I will live with the rest of my life. I just can't seem to let go of taking care of those that need care so I'm looking to take care of your loveones . I feel I have been blessed and skilled for 22 years of careing for the ones that need it, I got a loving and honest personality and hard worker. My achievements in my career are Loving others and having a great relationship with my clients and there family. I have been employee of the month and for my hard work have gotten bonus check. Yes we all have to work to survive but at the same time you have to enjoy and have the love in your heart to do the best for the one your taking care of as if they were your own family. (Hourly rate is negotiable base on miles, hours and weekends also over night care. We can discuss and figure out what is reasonable.) First and foremost you must understand this is just not any job. This is someone's family member. I very much enjoy working with older people they still have much to offer the younger generation. My first visit was with an neighbour. She would let me take out her trash weekly from then on it progressed. Since then I have been in and out the field for 20 years. Became a Medical Assistant was not the same no one on one personal care so I did not stay in the field. Giving the best part of me to my clients.

What makes me a great caregiver is I do the most important thing, I CARE. Always have always will, ever since I was a child this is what I've wanted to do, I've got such a caring outgoing personality that it's just what I love. I also do photography on the side as a hobby, blessing people and helping in every way possible is my goal.
