I'm caring, respectful, dependable, compassionate and a great listener, It is because of my mom that I became a CMA Knowing how much help she needed and at that time I wasn't able to be there for her as much as she needed me to so I wanna be there for someone who needs the help. What I enjoy the most is knowing that I can make a difference in someone's life by helping them with there needs, I'm proud of having the opportunity of being able to work with geriatric patients it's important for them to know that we do care about them

I became a caregiver due to the fact my grandparents who both raised me both passed away in nursing homes. After I saw the care and how they were being treated, I made the decision to become a nurse assistant so I could possibly make a difference. I feel as though I have, I love what I do and couldn't see myself doing anything else. I'm a very compassionate person with a big heart and I truly enjoy helping others. I'm a good talker but a better listener and will do anything to make sure my patient is comfortable and taken care of emotional, physically, and personally. This is my calling and I have enjoyed these last 11 years doing this.

My name is April. I've been a caregiver for a little over twenty years. Taking care of others is a real passion for me. I treat my patients how I want to be treated when it's my time. When I'm with my patient they receive my full attention if that means sitting and just listening to their stories or holding their hand and calming their fears. I am a mature, friendly, intelligent and fun woman. I have been a caregiver to different family members and lastly to my own mother. She passed away in 2008 from Alzheimer's and liver cancer. I provided much of the care as my mother was a private person. It was rewarding and I learned alot with the AD support group. I am retired from a career as a health plan worker and would now like to help those in need of companionship, health plan knowledge for appointment setting, rides to appointments and other chores that they may need. I spent as much time as possible after retirement, at the nursing home where my aunt was living. I spoke of family history, showed her pictures, played her favorite music and took her out to the garden area. She loved flowers. There are many elderly who are in need of companionship and I am available to provide that.

I went to nursing school in 2014. I have my associates of science (AAS), and was working in a nursing home as a nurse assistant for 3 years. I really enjoyed with my elderly residents and taking care of their needs. In 2021, I started working for Carelinx and I've really enjoyed helping and meeting new people. I'm currently working to get my bachelor's as a geriatric nurse. One day, I hope to work in a nursing home to help my residents.

My personality traits that make me a great caregiver is that I have patience, great communication skills and I love being able to help.

I love being a part of something bigger then myself, especially when someone thinks it's an impossible task to get done. I enjoy helping others and seeing there progression and how much they can actually do with just a bit of a push. I try to always go above and beyond to finish my task by deadlines. I'm definitely a true believer of the quote "TEAM WORK MAKES THE DRAM WORK!" I'm a very out going person with a personality to match . My goal is to always make mine or others around me .days better or e my s with some kind of positivity

I consider myself a good listener, optimistic, patient, and sensitive to other people's feelings and emotions. I like taking care of others because it reminds me of the time I used to take care of my grandmother and spend time with her either during good times or bad times. What I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is listening to others while I make myself available to help them. I am proud of having a psychologist bachelors degree.

Greetings and I hope all is well here is a little bit about me I've worked with seniors for a little while now privately as well as providing art services at nursing homes. What really got me into caregiving was the passing of my own grandmother, by me living out of town I never got to spend those last days with her which left me in great pain. That is why I started seeing what I can do to help out in the senior community. I cook I do light cleaning such as laundry, dishes, lining changes etc. I have other services that I offer as well I have my cosmetologist license, I offer manicures pedicures and haircuts, I do art classes and I'm also a licensed security officer so I'm trained see any danger coming if we happen to be on a outing. To me it's more then a job and honestly I just believe in treating people the way I would like to be treated or the way I would want someone to treat My love ones A person's character isn't built off of what they do when everyone is looking but more about what they do when no one is around I hope this was informational have a blessed day
