I am 20 years old. I graduated from Gate City High School in 2014. I attended Scott County Technical School and took a course to become a CNA. I passed the class but never got my certification for CNA. I am CPR certified. I have a passion for taking care of people! I love being outdoors, crafting, and cooking.
I have always had a love for our Senior Citizens since I was young, my Grandma worked at Bristol Nursing Home for 34 years, she would take me to pass out treats to the Residents, from then on I knew I would work with them. It is the best feeling to know that you are helping someone have a better quality of life even if it is just with you presence or helping them shower or with a meal or simply having a chat with them, after all its much better to give than to recieve.
I became a caregiver because it's always been my nature to take care of people, I like to see the smiles on the face when they see me coming because it make me feel good that I'm able to do something for someone. I have the patience and the heart it takes for taking care of people.I'm moving to Charlotte nc. And looking for work there
Hi! I'm Lorie! I became a caregiver to help others. I'm hardworking, dedicated, and am willing to put in the extra effort to ensure that whoever I'm looking after feels comfortable and safe. Clients I've had in the past often don't have people to come and check on them everyday and offer them the emotional support they need, so I enjoy being able to do that. I am always looking to learn something new and help in anyway I can.
I am Christian woman. I am 45 years old. I enjoy being able to help make someone have a better quality of life. I have compassion for people who can no longer take care of things they used to.I became a caregiver because I believe that I am able to help a person who is in need of a loving and caring person who helps with anything they need. It brings me satisfaction to help people and take care of their basic needs.
I am a very outgoing person. I love talking and helping older people. I was attracted to become a caregiver when my mother in law had her first very bad surgery. She had a very bad stomach surgery. I dressed her wounds and had to clean and put on a med vac on her wound. She also had a colostomy bag that I cleaned and changed for her every time she needed it. She has had about 6 surgeries every sense and I have taken care of her every time. I love taking care of people because it makes me feel like im doing something good in life and that makes me happy. My personal achievement that i am proud of is how far i have come in life. I hope that i can help you or your loved ones!!
I took care of my parents at their home until they passed away. My mama was a nurse in the Emergency Room for 40 years. I watched her take of the patients because she had to work night shift so when she could not find a babysitter for me I watched her. I at one time worked in a pharmacy. I have a deep compassion for people. I treat my patients as if they were my own. I take pride in my work and people that I am working for. I want my patients to be as comfortable as long as God grants them life here on Earth. I'm a devoted Christian. I would be honored to help take care of your love one.
Hello! My name is Makayla. I have been a CNA for about 2 years. I love caring for others and helping the elderly. I chose to be a caregiver because I have always wanted to be a nurse growing up and being a CNA helps with hands on care. I'm currently in college for Occupational Therapy!
I feel as if I am a people person, I enjoy helping others when they feel as if they cannot get any help. I'm very outgoing, funny, and try to make the best of each day. I am a widowed single mother of 2 girls, one is 8, and one is a year old. I have been working in the health care field since I was 18, I am now 29. I plan to peruse my career and eventually become RN.
I became a caregiver when I seen my grandmother go through stage four lung cancer. I seen the way she was treated by her caregivers and the joy they brought to her last days, it made me so happy inside to see that someone cared about her as much as I did. That made me realize how much I wanted to do that for someone and their loved ones. I am a mother of two beautiful girls and it makes me a better caregiver for the fact that I see my patients as my child, for the fact they cannot do for themself. I strive to treat my patients as if everyday was the last and try to make it the best it could possibly be. I'm personally proud of myself for the determination I have. I set my mind to something and I do it. I am a very dependable person because I understand that my patients need me along with their family. I enjoy spending time with my patients and keeping them happy. I'm a very open and loving person, I have always been known for being honest and conplient with my patients wishes and family's concerns. I have had a lot of caregiving experience from my grandmother to my brother who has Down syndrome and isn't capable of caring for himself. I also took care of a man who had cerebral palsy and congested heart failure along with several other things. I cared for him for years until his family moved him out too live with them. I was in charge of everything for him I was there everyday for a year until they hired a part time caregiver. Then I was there everyday but Saturday and Sunday, I fed him every meal and bathed him everyday. I was with him from when he woke up till he was in bed to go to sleep, I gave him all of my attention 24/7. I treated him as if he was my own and mothered him which is my best trait.
What makes me a great care giver is that I treat my patients with more care and dignity than most. I am 57 and am single with no children so I am able to devote more to my care giving without the interruptions that come with most families. I got in to care giving because I feel the need to repay the elder communities for the life they have provided us. If I am chosen to take care of your parents or any other part of your family it will be done with the utmost dignity and respect that they deserve.
