I started working with people at a young age. I worked at a daycare for about two years and then moved to elderly care. I'm very kind hearted and a patient person. I love knowing that I'm helping someone's day become a little easier. I aspire to become a nurse one day and that is what I'm working towards. My name is Kwindja Muderhwa. I am originally from Democratic republic of Congo, but I moved to the United States since 1996. I have been in the healthcare industry more than 15 years. I worked at UVM medical center as a Pharmacy Technician and Patient sitter and worked as a Nurse Assistant in couple facilities and Home-care. I assisted Clients/ patients with their daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, prepare meals, housekeeping, errands, medication reminder and assist with insulin shots or narcotics intake. Im familiar with hoyer lift, catheter, colostomy bag. I love being a caregiver because I like to be there for my patients/ Client when they need assistance to facilitate their life and be a companion.

My experience in healthcare motivated me to pursue my Associates in Nurse Education at NSCC from 2013-2015. In my care history, I have worked with a wide range of individuals with different needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, muscular dystrophy, aphasia, anxiety, depression, stroke.
