i am a 37 year old woman with 2 children in the age range of 12 and 17. i became a caregiver because of the fact i love helping people when they are in need. i like being able to just help. my grandmother has Alzheimer since 2002 she moved here with us when it got to much for her to be by herself in Chicago and i have been caring for her since i got to get alot of certificates in alot of different diseases

My attraction to becoming a caregiver began when my Opa was diagnosed with Alzheimer and dementia, I took care of him and grew love for the field and became very attached to everyone that I took care of. Hello! My name is Apolonia and I am currently working fulltime as a CNA at Clearview in Juneau, WI. I started the nursing assistant program back in 2009 in my senior year of high school and became certified in 2010 shortly after my son was born. However, my first job working with elderly was as an activity aide for the Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center in Waupun. I really enjoyed being able to get the residents out of their rooms to share laughs, reminisce about the good old days, and to just be there for them when they needed someone to talk to. After a year, I decided that I wanted to pursue working as a nursing assistant, so I obtained a position with Century Oaks Assisted Living Center in Oshkosh. Yes, it was a long commute from Waupun everyday, but I absolutely loved it. I started when the second building opened, so not only was I a new cna but I was working in an environment that was entirely brand new and we all grew together. We had an amazing team of people and it never felt like going to work. We just became like family. In 2014, the company was bought out by Capital Senior Living and I stayed working for about a year and then decided it was time to take the next step. So I applied to Clearview because it was closer to home and I now have a more consistent routine for my son. I plan to stay working for Clearview fulltime, but I am looking to take on a possible part time, temporary position or even be on call certain days. Either way, I am definitely looking forward to caring for your loved one!

Hi my name is Marissa, I started caregiving after I graduated highschool. I was very close with my grandma. She was my world. She passed away in 2009, and I honestly did it there on out. Elderly are super important to me and need to be loved. I love knowing I can help a family in need when I know how tough it is to care for a parent or family member when you have your own life to live as well, I enjoy it and it could be a good career. It's rough sometimes, and I miss who I've cared for but it is the circle of life. Dementia Alzheimers med giving Bed bound patients Bed baths med giving feeding. Gtube feeding switching out bags and adminstiring pills through gtube. Companionship weekly I'd buy lunch and we'd play games puzzles etc walks outside or simply staying in watching the news. I have given insulin for diabetics also checking blood sugar catheter changes and new ones! I am very qualifed for many positions. I was also a personal assistant as well, computer work, errands, work emails business calls.

I'm Celia and I have been serving others my entire life in my occupational fields of HR, education and now nursing as well as in my community as a Girl Scout leader, religious education teacher and moms/tots founder and organizer. I was a leader for an SOS trip to Memphis TN in Orange Mound to build roofs and create gardens for the well deserved residents in that neighborhood. I have raised 4 children who are all currently in college in the areas of Marine Biology, Nursing, Computer Science and Construction Management. I am resilient, outgoing, dependable, caring and compassionate. I enjoy serving others and helping them to be their very BEST version of theirselves no matter what biological age or journey they are currently on. I am open and honest at all times and culturally competent. I serve my church as a greeter and cookie baker and have always been happiest while serving other and helping to make their day brighter!

I am a truly caring person who puts forth a great effort in my work. I take pride in being able to help people live their best life.
