I became a caregiver after helping my dad through his battle with cancer when I was just a teenager. I am a single mother of three children. I love reading, music, arts and crafts. I feel I sympathize with the elderly more so than the younger population, specializing in dementia and memory care. Hello! My name is Apolonia and I am currently working fulltime as a CNA at Clearview in Juneau, WI. I started the nursing assistant program back in 2009 in my senior year of high school and became certified in 2010 shortly after my son was born. However, my first job working with elderly was as an activity aide for the Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center in Waupun. I really enjoyed being able to get the residents out of their rooms to share laughs, reminisce about the good old days, and to just be there for them when they needed someone to talk to. After a year, I decided that I wanted to pursue working as a nursing assistant, so I obtained a position with Century Oaks Assisted Living Center in Oshkosh. Yes, it was a long commute from Waupun everyday, but I absolutely loved it. I started when the second building opened, so not only was I a new cna but I was working in an environment that was entirely brand new and we all grew together. We had an amazing team of people and it never felt like going to work. We just became like family. In 2014, the company was bought out by Capital Senior Living and I stayed working for about a year and then decided it was time to take the next step. So I applied to Clearview because it was closer to home and I now have a more consistent routine for my son. I plan to stay working for Clearview fulltime, but I am looking to take on a possible part time, temporary position or even be on call certain days. Either way, I am definitely looking forward to caring for your loved one!

Me being a caregiver i am able to help others in need of any way they need me. I am loving honest truth worthy responsible and reliable. Something that attracted me to become a caregiver was when i was younger i was diagnosed with vator association and always in and out of hospitals and always taken care of. So now i Want to give back in health care and just be there for others like people were there for me. What i like most about being a caregiver is that i can meet all types of people and bond with them. Just being able to make them happy and them put a smile on my face makes my day. Personal achievements i am proud of is still being here today with everything i had to deal with as a kid with a syndrome and being proud of who i am today by loving others and helping in all ways.
