I became a caregiver after my family had a caregiver for my grandmother and she stole from her. I promised that I would never do anything like that to any other family as they entrust their family member to me. I enjoy listening to the stories that clients have to tell. I also enjoy knowing that they are safe in my care. A personal achievement that I am proud of is that one time when I arrived at a client's home I found them on the floor and that I was able to call for help and advise the family upon their arrival at the emergency room where I stayed until the family was able to get there. I am 56 years old and the mother of two grown boys. My friends and family call me a granny nanny as I am always caring for others. I graduated with my Associates degree in 2012 and I am currently 3 classes away from my Bachelors degree.
