Four years ago I retired from nursing. Recently, I moved to Phoenix Arizona to be near family. I have one married daughter in Phoenix where I presently reside, and another married daughter in Peoria. My daughter and son-in-law in Peoria have one daughter and are currently expecting their second child. Prior to moving here, my most recent pertinent work experience was as a homecare non-medical provider to an senior woman in her Kansas home. Though hired as "non-medical care provider" much of my assistance with this woman did revolve around her medical needs as she was an end-stage cancer patient, as well as diabetic. I helped manage her medication schedule, transportation and ensuring she went to medical/doctor appointments. I also monitored her daily health needs such as blood pressure, blood sugars, etc. I would like to care for you or a loved one in your home, and assist you with some of your care needs. I am willing to assist with light housekeeping, meal preparations, exercise/physical therapy programs, transportation and occasional errands or grocery shopping. I enjoy reading, baking, music, walking and spending time outdoors, as well as spending time with my family. I would be delighted to come work for you! --Freida McMahon

I believe "care" is one of the most lightly used and least understood words. To care doesn't simply mean being physically present or supervising someone--it goes much deeper. It takes emotional strength, patience, and heart. It means being there not just as a shoulder to lean on, but also as a smile, a sense of comfort, and a source of lightness and fun. That's how I have cared for people--both family and non-family, many of whom eventually became a meaningful part of my life. I care for people the way I would want someone to care for me, and that belief shapes me into a better caregiver. I never initially saw this as a profession. It wasn't until I came to the U.S. and, almost accidentally, took on a few assignments that I realized this is something I'm genuinely good at--and something that comes naturally to me. I am compassionate, warm, and approachable, with an inquisitive mind and a curious soul. I'm blessed with an untiring smile. I can be a chatterbox or quiet company--depending on what the moment and the person need. I enjoy meaningful conversations across many topics, but I'm also a very good listener. I truly love hearing stories and life experiences. I'm creatively driven, love cooking (my previous clients can happily vouch for that ), enjoy my coffee, and find balance through weightlifting. I'm a lifelong learner and never miss a chance to grow from others' experiences. By profession, I am a caregiver and a content and digital marketer. By nature, I am a wanderer, a nurturer, and a learner. In short, I genuinely care about people and am deeply capable of connecting with them on different emotional levels. And last but not least, I come with strong recommendations--and I take great pride in that.
