I work with directly with patients and their families this means I truly have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people in a positive way. I have known since I was a child that I wanted to work in a job where I could truly help others and know that I want to enter the health care industry in some way. When I was in high school my grandfather became too sick for our parents to care for him on our own. My family hired a home health agency to provide nursing care for him. Now my grandfather is doing better and I deeply believe a lot of that is because he had such wonderful nurses. I decided to become a CNA because I would like to help others the way those great nurses helped my own grandfather. Also I am vary compassionate with the elderly because both my grandparents raised me so I believe that they deserve respect and dignity.

Prior to moving here, my most recent pertinent work experience was as a homecare non-medical provider to an senior woman in her Kansas home. Though hired as "non-medical care provider" much of my assistance with this woman did revolve around her medical needs as she was an end-stage cancer patient, as well as diabetic. I helped manage her medication schedule, transportation and ensuring she went to medical/doctor appointments. I also monitored her daily health needs such as blood pressure, blood sugars, etc. I would like to care for you or a loved one in your home, and assist you with some of your care needs. I am willing to assist with light housekeeping, meal preparations, exercise/physical therapy programs, transportation and occasional errands or grocery shopping.
