I discovered that I loved caregiving when my mother was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. For only about 2 weeks I had the privilege to care for her. I bathed, changed, and made sure she got her medication the times she needed it. I was there when she took her last breath. At that moment I knew I wanted to do this seriously because I love to care for others.
