About Christine

I am a recently retired RN, new to Arizona. I THOUGHT I was ready for early retirement but I find that I miss my patients and their families far too much to completely retire. I specialized in dialysis nursing (kidney failure) and spent 15 - 20 hours per week with each of my patients. They knew as much about me and my family as I knew about them and their families. I treasured those long-term, trusting relationships. So I am now in search of the right part-time position as a caregiver and companion. I truly enjoy the teaching aspect of caregiving; ensuring that physician and hospital instructions are truly tailored to you and that they are easily understood by you and your family. I am happy to help with managing your medications, treatments, or dietary restrictions and relating how those variables can impact how fast you recover/how you feel on a daily basis. Some people want to know everything and some only want the basics - it's a personal choice and I'm there to make it easy and comfortable for both you and your family. I am a pet lover so please don't worry about your animal(s) - I'll be more than pleased to help with them also. We can spoil them together! I will be happy to drive you to your physician/hospital visits, communicate your health status/ medical needs to family members, assist with medications, grocery shopping, etc. My goal is that we benefit from knowing each other. Whatever you need, I'll be there.

Four years ago I retired from nursing. Recently, I moved to Phoenix Arizona to be near family. I have one married daughter in Phoenix where I presently reside, and another married daughter in Peoria. My daughter and son-in-law in Peoria have one daughter and are currently expecting their second child. Prior to moving here, my most recent pertinent work experience was as a homecare non-medical provider to an senior woman in her Kansas home. Though hired as "non-medical care provider" much of my assistance with this woman did revolve around her medical needs as she was an end-stage cancer patient, as well as diabetic. I helped manage her medication schedule, transportation and ensuring she went to medical/doctor appointments. I also monitored her daily health needs such as blood pressure, blood sugars, etc. I would like to care for you or a loved one in your home, and assist you with some of your care needs. I am willing to assist with light housekeeping, meal preparations, exercise/physical therapy programs, transportation and occasional errands or grocery shopping. I enjoy reading, baking, music, walking and spending time outdoors, as well as spending time with my family. I would be delighted to come work for you! --Freida McMahon

*** Hi my name is Sandra. DO NOT let my asking rate per hour deter you from calling me if you're interested ! I am willing to negotiate although I will tell you I am worth every cent. I am presently taking an RN Refresher course so shorter shifts a couple days a week work best for me. I have 16+ years in the capacity of a nursing assistant. I have worked extensively in nursing homes, assisted living , home health care and hospital settings. I also have 15 years experience as an RN in acute care and long term hospitalion settings. A good chunk of that time was with veterans. I am 56 years old-a mature Christian woman who does not get easily frazzled or upset . I have a lot of patience and love and compassion to give..There is no doubt in my mind that this is a God-given gift to help mankind in anyway that I can as a caregiver for the rest of my life. If you are interested in talking to me about possibly taking care of your loved one I would be happy to hear from you. Blessings, Sandra Bombino
