5 years ago I couldn't picture myself being a caregiver, but we all know the saying tell God your plans and watch him laugh. 2 years ago my mother had 4 strokes in a 6 month period. It rearranged my goals and life. It was awakening to my heart, I became her everything. From feeding to clothing and also transporting. A very physical but emotional enduring process. I've experienced firsthand how one can go from being independent to disabled. Which makes me more of an ideal caregiver. I'm patient, nurturing, and supportive. I always wear this smile, I can't help but feel blessed and positive.
