Four years ago I retired from nursing. Recently, I moved to Phoenix Arizona to be near family. I have one married daughter in Phoenix where I presently reside, and another married daughter in Peoria. My daughter and son-in-law in Peoria have one daughter and are currently expecting their second child. Prior to moving here, my most recent pertinent work experience was as a homecare non-medical provider to an senior woman in her Kansas home. Though hired as "non-medical care provider" much of my assistance with this woman did revolve around her medical needs as she was an end-stage cancer patient, as well as diabetic. I helped manage her medication schedule, transportation and ensuring she went to medical/doctor appointments. I also monitored her daily health needs such as blood pressure, blood sugars, etc. I would like to care for you or a loved one in your home, and assist you with some of your care needs. I am willing to assist with light housekeeping, meal preparations, exercise/physical therapy programs, transportation and occasional errands or grocery shopping. Hi my name is Patti and I love taking care of people ever since I was a little girl. I used to take care of my younger siblings and pretend that they were mine. I love babysitting as I got older and then had children and grandchildren of my own to care for. Happiest time of my life. Then I became a Nanny and did that for twenty years. But as I got older I wanted to change my direction and was proud to become a licensed CNA, I decided that I would like to take care of the elderly. This is very fulfilling to me. I like to read and do crafts in my spare time. I am very neat and organized and I like to stay busy. I am CPR and first aid certified and have had a federal background check. I have a level one security clearance. I have experience working in a Nursing home and in home care. Most of my experience has been working with Memory care.
