I enjoy watching how my patients improve through their hospital stay. In my department helping my patients with their ADLs is huge part of my responsibilities and one of my personal favorite. In these moments I'm not only part of the treatment of a diagnosis but I get to engage with my patient. I get to learn the fears, worries, their likes and dislikes. I also get to learn ways to motivate them to try harder, within their limits of course. Therefore, caregiving has attracted me because it is what already do in a high intense environment and being able to provide that care in the comfort of my patients home can only have greater positive results to not only help with their ADLs but also provide a better quality of life and care.
