Taking care of older adults was an easy and natural transition for me after caring for my own mom full time. Becoming a caregiver helped me recover from loosing her. I cared for many elder members of my family also and found I have a natural gift. I enjoy their company and I love to hear their stories. I provide companionship, light housework, grocery shopping, take to appointments and provide meals. I have seen people recover from loneliness, some illnesses and become able to do more for themselves with the right encouragement and having someone who cares.
