1. I became a CNA because I love taking care of people and love seeing them make progress to the little things in life that we take for granted, and know you can make their day a little better just by providing care. 2. I love the helpfulness about it because if you aren't passionate about helping and what you do for the patients then you have to reason to be doing what it period. 3. When I was working at Loving Care Home I had a patient that was very shy and she didn't like people touching her. So what I did was every time she came around me or I was around her I greeted her with a smile and always asked how she was doing and when it was time to complete a task with her I gave her options so that way the choice was always hers. When it came time for baths or wiping of herself I always set it up for her and let her do it and only assist if she asked or wanted me to help and gradually as she became comfortable with me she allowed me to do things for her and always asked for me by name. Her shyness and her not allowing people to touch her faded away because I helped build that confidence back for her. 4. I’m a team player, detail oriented, good listener, hard worker and at heart a great conversationalist. I’m able to adapt and work with minimum supervision and learn company procedures quickly. I communicate them and resolve issues with clarity, quality and patience. I just naturally have a caring demeanor about myself. I love helping people.
