Hello, A little bit of why I became a caregiver is my strong wish to help people. It means a lot to me if i could even help one person. I have a few family members close to me that are disabled and need assistance. I have a grandma that suffers with both Alzheimer's and dementia and some cousins that suffer from aspergers and sensory issues. Now those may not need assistance in the way maybe someone with Down syndrome or elderly but you mak accommodations and help them in somewhat similar of a way. My aunt has a foster care daughter who has autism and is nonverbal in which i assist in taking care of every once in a while with dressing, feeding, or medication reminders. I've just found being able to help someone no matter the age it just gives me a strong hope for the community in giving back.
