Hello, My name is Melanie. I am a Arizona state certified caregiver with 10+ years of experience. Looking for the right caregiver takes time. The fit need to be a good one for all parties involved. What is important to me is treating my clients with dignity and respect, protecting their privacy to help alleviate embarrassment or anxiety when showering or bathroom use. I have experience with diseases and conditions such as MS, Parkinson's, Dementia, Alzheimer's, Cancer, stroke, paraplegic etc. I provide companionship, bathing & dressing, feeding, meal prep, med prep, staying active, and mobility. Knowledge of medical equipment such as a Sara steady and the hoyer lift. I have worked with a variety of age groups and different levels of care including skilled nursing. I have a background fingerprint clearance card, CPR trained and a clean driving record. I have taken courses on Alzheimer's and dementia, Elder abuse, Hospice & palliative care, Infection control and Autism. I have been in hospital management and have had my own business. I decided to go back to what brings me the most joy, helping others. This is my true passion and one of the reasons I'm a happy person. I am 56 years, kind, patient, dependable and trustworthy. I am a native of Arizona. I am married and we have 3 children. My oldest is in the Az National Guard and is attending college . My middle child is a senior and my youngest is a freshman. While my children were growing up I was certified through the state and did childcare in my home for 15 years. I worked at a school for special needs children after that and was a caregiver part time. I felt I found my calling as a caregiver and have been doing it ever since.
