1. I became a caregiver/nursing assistant during my senior year in High School. I wanted to eventually become a nurse. With experience working in a skilled nursing facility, I took these skills with me when my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. I took care of her for almost five years. 2. I enjoy taking care of the elderly or disabled individuals because I believe they have been a blessing in our society and have lived through so many of life's lessons. They should be taken care of properly and deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. I feel as though this type of work is very rewarding because I am not only working to earn an income, but I helping someone feel good and cared for. 3. Improving my overall physical and mental well-being by changing my diet and lifestyle. Adhering to a nutritional lifestyle in order to perform at my best is of paramount importance to my well-being, as I have discovered numerous food allergies. This has probably been one of the most difficult challenges for me, especially being a single mother of three kids. So I guess I most proud of the fact that I have had so many physical challenges, but have been successful in overcoming this while raising three kids by myself. And I am very proud that my kids are all very well adjusted and talented. 4. I am a pretty decent cook!
