I had a very close relationship with my grandmother who I lived with for the first 12 years of my life. I enjoyed spending time with her and other elderly members of my family. I thought being a caregiver would be something I would enjoy doing because I am a very patient person who understands and appreciate spending time with and caring for the elderly. I especially enjoy listening to the stories and advise of the elderly. It was very satisfying for me to be able to use the skills I acquired to care for my mother who had Alzheimer's disease.
