I spent years as a Caregiver /Companion to friends, family and friends of family. Your home is your personal space. It's a place where you are most comfortable and secure. When I come in, I offer both Caregiving skills and Companionship. I respect your homes comfort zone and you. I listen and ask questions as I learn my Clients habits and needs. I have a happy heart, I am kind, friendly, patient and professional. I may offer better ways of getting care needs met but always at your approval. I am not bossy and I do not take over your home. I am also careful to put things back in their place when done with it, unless the Client states otherwise. I can assist with medications, personal hygiene care, light housework, grocery shopping, transportation, and more. Sometimes I just come in to assist family members needing a little break from their Caregiving for their family member so they can revive themselves too. I've worked in pallative care with some clients also and interacted with family members needing emotional support with their loved one adjusting to end of life issues and worked with Hospice teams like Casa de La Luz and Corondelet who are my favorites in Compassionate Hospice Care. I enjoy nature, photography and music. I am a person of Faith and I live out of my heart for others. I learn all I can regarding each individuals needs and enjoy seeing my Clients laugh and smile. A happy heart is very important! Most of all I Care! I was in a commercial for Visiting Angels 11/2015 and also did a multimedia interview (nationwide) with Channel 13 News regarding not forgetting our elderly during the Holidays and creating a Holiday box of new memories.

If you're looking for help then this is probably a very stressful time for you and/or your loved one. There is major transition going on -- and some of it might not be welcome. I want to add to your ease, decrease your burden, make this transition easier. You're looking for someone to entrust yourself or your loved one with. You probably want someone you can depend on, who's on time, reliable, conscientious, experienced, dedicated, professional, competent. I am. And I imagine you also want someone who has "soft-skills": intuitive, compassionate, deep listener, empathetic, honest, considerate, patient. That's me too. Put them together and that means you or your loved one will receive care from someone who can hold compassionate space, listen deeply, respond to needs, anticipate what's needed, while also providing competently for health and daily tasks. In addition, I respect the people I work with and talk to them as adults and people, not as incompetent, invisible or childlike. It's a lovely dance to find the balance of inter/dependent, and try not to figuratively "step on toes" finding it. I am a certified Holistic Healthcare Practitioner, which means I can often share healthy advice, while also working within the parameters of your current medical team. With me, you or your loved one is in excellent hands, combined with a compassionate heart, and a bright mind.
