Cared for Parkinson’s /dementia client in their home. Helped with ADLs, bathing, meals, light housekeeping. In the beginning years, we played games and went for walks to help keep client sharp and mobile. Took client to doctor appointments and sometimes out for lunch. As declining persisted, client slept more and was not able to do as much for self. Toward the end, became incontinent in bladder and bowel and had to be fed. Helped with Hospice care. Client passed last week.

Sometimes I just come in to assist family members needing a little break from their Caregiving for their family member so they can revive themselves too. I've worked in pallative care with some clients also and interacted with family members needing emotional support with their loved one adjusting to end of life issues and worked with Hospice teams like Casa de La Luz and Corondelet who are my favorites in Compassionate Hospice Care. I enjoy nature, photography and music. I am a person of Faith and I live out of my heart for others. I learn all I can regarding each individuals needs and enjoy seeing my Clients laugh and smile. A happy heart is very important! Most of all I Care! I was in a commercial for Visiting Angels 11/2015 and also did a multimedia interview (nationwide) with Channel 13 News regarding not forgetting our elderly during the Holidays and creating a Holiday box of new memories.
