Hi, my name is Simona (See-Mona) I am 26 and a Certified Caregiver & Med Tech. I started my career in Caregiving in 2021. I really needed a job back then and wanted to do something that I've always wanted to and that was becoming a Caregiver. So I followed my dream and became certified. I have an Autistic son that I care for on the side of my current Night Caregiving Job and now I am looking to help someone in their home, instead of working in a facility. I realized that this field is my calling and now apart of who I am, it's definitely my passion. I always have enjoyed helping people and once I began working in this field, I stayed because I know with the heart that I have, I can make a difference. I'm an Old Soul and love building bonds with my residents/people I care for. I am compassionate, understanding and a great listener. I care for the elderly like they are my own grandparents. I always make sure who I am caring for is comfortable and for them to know that I am there for them, they never need to hesitate to ask for a thing. I believe that each person I care for changes my perspective on life and working with them not only changes their quality of life but it changes mine as well, for the very better. I started my journey as a caregiver with my father who had cancer. This snowballed into taking care (at the same time) of my husband who was diagnosed with cancer also. They died a year apart from one other. My experience in caregiving for them is priceless. The lessons I learned are invaluable. After that I moved in with a elderly lady who needed assistance with cleaning, cooking, bathing, doctor appointments, ect. She died three years later. About that time my mother was needing more assistance. I handled her health issues (which were many), cleaning, cooking, entertainment. I cared for her through hospice at my home when the time came. I then for two years worked with a lady who had dementia and type one diabetes. I have a tremendous amount of empathy for senior citizens. They are wonderful people who need companionship and help doing their day to day chores. The older you get, the harder it gets for simple everyday actives, chores. I am compassionate, honest and have a great sense of humor. I would love to get to know you.
