I enjoy the rewarding feeling I get after i have helped someone that needed me to and I hardly feel as if its a job I enjoy doing what I do . I have been caring for the elderly for 30 yrs now so yes I do know what I'm doing . It now comes natural to me to care for others . I am able to transfer /vitals/o2/tq2hrs/transfer from bed to w/c and from w/c to bed /feeding / incont care/dementia/Alzheimer. I also worked in a physc hospital when I was 19 until I was 21. I can handle just about any task put forth to me and yes I do go above and beyond the call of duty for my clients I care for . I treat my clients with all the respect that the elderly deserve for all the hard work and the experience they have . I love to just chat sometimes with the elderly to learn history form the ones that actually lived it and so different then reading just a book. Text isn't the same as hearing it from the ones that lived it their self. I also for got to mention I'm a pretty good cook and most of my clients enjoy my cooking . I've been told just recently that I was being kept longer because I could cook better then she could. I do enjoy cooking for others especially if the person likes it. I get along with animals and I don't smoke but can care for someone that does . Well I think I might have covered about everything. I hope.
