I started off as a child therapist assistant for special needs, shorty after I became a caregiver for special need children. I then reached to the elderly community to open more opportunities and became a caregiver for elderly people. I have learned a lot within this field, patience, time management, as well as all the different cases you run into. I have worked with Parkinson's disease, dementia, those with physical disability, and mental disabilities. The list goes on with all the different kind of patients you run into, but I have grown to love what I do. I learn more every day from each patient I run into. Overall I do my best to do what is expected of me as the patients caregiver. I am confident with my work ethic, and have good work qualities to offer to whomever I cross paths with . I take pride in what I do, and i am always willing to grow more, and learn more as I go. I now have 4 years of experience working with hospice/non hospice clients and am currently looking for more job opportunities. I like keeping my clients for as long as I can because it's better that way not just for myself but for the clients and their families as well (:

I am 31 years old and such a very happy person. I am a mother to 3 amazing children so my motherly traits are always with me. Caring, loving, patient and giving. I love seeing others genuinely happy. I am that person that will give away from me to give to someone else in need. What attracted me to being a caregiver was caregiving for my grandparents. My grandfather & grandmother both needed my help. My grandfather would never want anyone else but me and my grandmother had dementia so she was a tough cookie. Caring for them made me realize how hard things can be for the elderly or anyone in general at that. If I am willing to help, why not help in the best way that I can. I enjoy putting a smile on someone's face and helping them in whatever they need just to make their life a little easier. A personal achievement is becoming the mother that I am. My children have shown me how to be loving, respectful, honest and last but not least happy.
