Hello my name is Lorena (Pattie) and ive been a caregiver for 33 years. As a young girl i spent time helping my grandmother, it taught me to be sweet kind and gentle, understanding and patient, attentive and helpful, empathy and compassion. Ive worked through agencies, facilities, privately, Hospice, from hourly, 12 hr shifts, overnights and live in. I am skilled in ADL's, meal prep, medications, bathing, dressing, toileting, bed sores, wound care, feeding, tube feeding, caines, walkers, shower chair, gait belt, wheelchair, slide board, Hoyers, back brace.... With all the experience I gained through the years, I would say my area of expertise is gaining trust and bonding. Life isnt about how much time we spend on this earth, but how we spend it.
