I make jokes and sometimes sing and dance for my patients. I know that the situation they are in can sometimes be bleak, so I want to distract and keep people company. I like to hear about their life stories and wonder what they did before retiring. This is the aspect that drew me into becoming a caregiver. When I was working in nursing homes, I was so amazed that I could come in and make a difference in so many people's lives. I am fully dedicated to making people happy and comfortable, because life is so short and we should make the best of it while we can.
