I believe that I'm a good career giver because this isn't just a job for me this is a chance to get to know my employer here their story's and lives. Get to have fun and take care of them like they built our future in the past. I respect my elders and for everything that they have done and what else I can learn and do for them. My experience is taking care of my grandma and grandpa they both have health problems and have to have multiple surgeries quite often and it became something that I really did enjoy getting to help out and repay them for what they have done for me. When I was little my first Encounter was helping my grandpa but not really understanding how I was helping him at the moment. He had dementia I didn't quite understand that at the time but he would change conversation randomly and instead of getting mad or annoyed I went along so he wasn't confused or upset. I let him steer the conversation and learned how to be patient and take my time fully understanding what was happening. He got so bad that he forgot to feed his dog for three days and I had school so I couldn't go see him. Finding out he couldn't even remember he had a dog and it died that when something clicked in me. I just knew that I wanted to help other family's never have to loose or forget something so important, because I can be there to remember for them.
