What attracted me to be a caregiver or in general become a nurse was having the passion of helping people that who rely on others for their care and coming home at the end of the day glad that you are helping someone who really needs it. The reason i wanted to become a nurse was that throughout my whole life growing up as a child I was always helping my dad who was paralyzed from the waist down and has a catheter in his digestive system. Then having my Stepfather have a stroke and my mother and I having to take care of him and doing daily living task such as feed him, give him his medication, showering, bathing providing oral care and some exercise when he could. Some of my achievements i am proud of doing the Nursing Assistant program and appreciating more and more the help we give to the people that cant do it themselves.
