I am a very compassionate, loving person, to the point my peers claim that I am "nice" to a fault. I love making people happy, whether it is through cooking, conversation, or bringing flowers to brighten up a room. I was exceedingly fortunate that my grandparents raised me while my parents worked. They took time from their own schedules to ensure that I was clean, clothed, and fed each day. Though they may not be with me anymore, I want to pass that favor forward to other people with kindness and compassion. While I do not yet have formal elder care training, I received training relating to depression, eating disorders, and comforting families affected by cancer. I also have experience caring for elder family members, and am currently a live-in caretaker for my grandfather. I also follow instructions meticulously and dutifully fulfill all requested tasks, listening to a family's specific needs rather than following a pre-determined regimen. I understand that each family is different, and therefore requires flexible caregiving. I have a car, valid driver's license with a good driver's record, and I am able to drive anywhere within the city of San Diego.
