i became a caregiver cause i decided not to put my parents in a convalecent home, i work in El Centro Convalecent in 1983 and i didn't like the way of some nurses treating old pleople, so i din't want that for my love ones. i love to help those indefense old pleople, cause they need good care, love and someone to listen and understand them and help them in their own needs. I'm very bless by God that gave me the opportunity to be with my dad and mom until their last breath, 24/7. I'm very adaptable on any situacion, responsible, coomprehensive, hard working, the experience i had with my parent help me understand the diferent change of moods, sickness and health problems, my dad died at age of almost 87 yrs as kidney failure, my mom died a year and a half after my dad at 87 yrs from an aggresive cancer in the liver and she had Dementia, the dementia is not only memory loss, is together with 3 stages, agressive, depression and the normal stage.
