I am currently a fourth year at UC Davis. A little bit about me is that I love caring for others and I think compassion is one of my greatest strengths. I was most attracted to being a caregiver because a lot of my older family members are getting to the age where they need caregivers. Because they are in Taiwan, I am not able to care for them and meet their needs. I understand how hard it is being a caregiver, and would therefore like to relieve caregivers from some of their stress. I know that a lot of the times, older patients are in need of companionship and just someone to talk to or listen to them. I think being a caregiver is such a humbling experience and those we care for have so much wisdom and life experience to impart.
