As a pastor, I believe that God's command to "Love your neighbor as yourself" has truly made me loving, kind, caring, considerate, understanding, selfless, generous, compassionate, hard-working, trustworthy, and competent care-giver. God also gave me a talent in singing to console the bereaved or lonely ones. Care-giving is the most attractive and rewarding job for me because I feel like I'm taking good care of my very own Dad or Mom up to now although they have been physically gone for a long time and I am greatly rewarded with joy, because I know that God is pleased and glorified for what He does through me--His obedient servant! When I know that what I'm doing to others makes God and others happy, that's what makes me feel proud and joyful!

Private Live-in 24/5: Took care of Mrs. Kennedy who had an early stage Ahlzhimer's disease and my job included personal care, companionship, bathing, dressing, grooming, watched her when she ate and reminded her to eat or finish her food, or spoon-feed her, volunteered to sleep in the same bedroom with her to be sure she was getting enough sleep and rest and also to keep her from bothering her husband in the other bedroom. I also accompanied her when Mr. Kennedy took her to the doctor, did light housekeeping, laundry for the couple. After she was moved into a skilled facility I stayed and worked for Mr. Kennedy: Cooked meals, light housekeeping, laundry, visited Mrs. Kennedy at a nursing home in San Jose and took her soiled clothes and washed them at their house in Los Gatos. Shared the Word of God and prayed with Mr Kennedy to help him overcome depression and a lot of stress brought by the stressful situations. I sometimes played the piano and sang his favorite popular hymn "Amazing Grace" or sang with my guitar to make him happy!
