Hello all! My name is Cathy Salazar. And I am a caregiver. I have been working as a caregiver since 2003 after I decided that it was time to start my career from being a stay-at-home wife. I am a mother and grandmother to 6 amazing kids. I have learned early on in life that I always wanted to be a caregiver or anything of that nature because as a child I always took to people, it's what I've always did especially with growing up with 6 siblings. I have worked with 5 beautiful patients that had their own unique paths in life and I have learned many things along the way; such as physical/speech therapy, meal preps, subacute treatments, medications reminders, grooming/hygiene etc. I love what I do and I grow to love my patients. I treat my patients as my own family and I make sure to exceed in their expectations. I am a team player, I believe that anything can be accomplished as long as there is communication and clarity. I groomed him and helped with getting ready to start the day, anything and everything from simply staying home to market trips to doctors appointments/physical/speech therapy. I distributed medication for him on a precise schedule. And made sure I cooked home meals every day for him. I did stay with Mr. Lorenzo for over night stays at the beginning of my job with him due to his physical condition. He could not stand/walk/talk/shower/use the restroom on his own so I would do all of the toiletries and hygiene things.

I distributed medication for her on a precise schedule. And made sure I cooked home meals every day for her. I did learn how to use a hoyer lift so I can assist Ms. Larusso to sit up and get out of bed.
