I was a Care Manager in a Adult Group Home for 6 years and proud to say that the Group was always given a grade of "A" after the survey by the Department of Health. My clients says that I am protective and over protective to them.I am a spiritual person that's why I apply the golden rule to everyone which is "Do unto others as you would like others do unto you." that's why Iam compassionate,caring,kind and loving. Hardworking and when I clean I make sure that it's very clean and sanitize especially the bathroom.My cooking abilities is awesome I cook delicious food most of the time client's asks for seconds.I create a plan of care for each client and do's and dont's.I bring them to doctors appt and show them my plan of care and vital signs and medication log.Since I have a medical background I can easily understand what the doctors want and the medical terminoligies.The medical diagnostic test like laboratory works and xrays are part of client's care that I know why the doctor's requests for it.my client's are very comfortable with me because I treat them like family. I bring them to the mall to have some life.I want themlooking neat and clean and spray a little perfume after bathing. Let them watch their favorite tv channels and offering them something to drink and snacks. I communicate with their families regarding their health status alway, but most of all if there are some negative changes.
