I am a patient, positive and hard-working person and enjoy helping others, especially the elderly. I believe God has given me the opportunities to help many: as a music teacher, for many years I have taken my students to retirement and convalescent homes for musical programs; for seven years I read weekly to two friends who were paralyzed by strokes; I cooked meals for two neighbors who were in the beginning stages of Alzheimers; another friend needed much help after breaking her hip (housekeeping, daily laundry, caring for her 5 dogs, transportation, paying bills, companionship) and this turned into a part-time job; and, most importantly, I cared for my own 89-year-old mother in our home. I respect and appreciate the experiences and wisdom of others who have lived longer than I, and it is rewarding to know that I could help them in their time of need.
